Strategies Besides setups and the skill of your opponent, strategies provide most of your key to winning. Strategy is your piece movements, bomb placement - etc. Good strategy can win a game, bad can lose one. Basic strategies are listed here. Bombs & Flags You should usually put your flag in a rear corner surrounded by Bombs like this - B   F B     However, if you want better protection, it is ultimately better to have something like this - B     7 B   F 7 B       or this - B       7 B     B 7 B   F B 7 B   Also keep your flag in the middle sometimes. It's a lot easier to defend because you can scramble pieces from both sides of the board. Attack It's a good idea to put your Scouts up front with medium or high ranking pieces. Keep a high ranking piece to defend the Flag. Blitzkrieg! Another attack option is to put all powerful pieces up front and blitz! Dangerous if your opponent has Bombs in the front. Defense Scatter Bombs in areas likely to be hit. Don't put more then two Bombs in the front row as they block you in. Keep a powerful piece near your flag and/or your Spy. Of course, there is always the old mini formation of Lake       B         B B It is generally a good idea to play defensively, as opposed to charging in blindly, which can destroy some of your high ranking pieces, and create an offensive opportunity for your opponent.
